My Love Is Free - The Salsoul Recordings 1976-1979

SoulMusic Records (SMR) in association with The Second Disc presents a 4CD box set by this legendary Philadelphia group presenting their trend-setting recordings for Salsoul Records.

The 46-track collection includes expanded editions of the ‘Ten Percent’ (1976), ‘Fourplay’ (1978) and ‘Locker Room’ (1979), the three full-length albums recorded during their association with Salsoul’s Gold Mind Records.

Plus a specially-curated fourth disc that includes remixes, instrumentals, and a capellas from their Salsoul discography. All audio has been newly remastered by Nick Robbins.

Key tracks include the first-ever commercially released 12” single, ‘Ten Percent’, plus ‘My Love is Free’, ‘Everyman’ and ‘Newsy Neighbors’.

A deluxe, 28-page booklet is designed in period style by John Sellards with comprehensive liner notes by DJ Dyn-o-Mite, founder of JointzOfTheDay.org.

This collection continues the 2024 SoulMusic Records/The Second Disc series of reissues from the famed Salsoul and Gold Mind catalogues by The Salsoul Orchestra, Loleatta Holloway and First Choice.
