Title

The Long Ryders released their debut album in October 1984, titled Native Sons. This album, considered a Modern American Classic by Melody Maker, features a unique fusion of 1960s garage rock, folk rock, and country rock.

Rolling Stone's David Fricke described Native Sons as an album "where Nashville, '77 London, and the mid-60s Sunset Strip converge in songs of pioneer aspiration and outlaw bonding." The album captures the essence of Alt Country and marked the beginning of the band's musical journey.

This expanded edition of Native Sons includes the original album, as well as a collection of demos and a live recording from 1985. Curated in collaboration with founding member Sid Griffin, this 3CD set offers a comprehensive look at the band's early work.

Complete with sleeve notes by Anthony DeCurtis and design by Phil Smee, this edition is a must-have for fans of The Long Ryders and anyone interested in the evolution of Alt Country music.
