Northern Gentleman

Blitz Vega is a project launched by the late Andy Rourke (bassist from The Smiths) & KAV (former Happy Mondays guitarist). In November 2016 the duo embarked on a journey of 7 years recording music together as Blitz Vega, recording predominantly in Los Angeles where Kav was based, whilst Andy was based in NYC. On May 19, 2023 Andy Rourke sadly lost his battle of several years with pancreatic cancer, something he was fighting behind the scenes whilst recording Blitz Vega. On January 17 2024, on what would have been Andy’s 60th birthday, Blitz Vega announced the release date of Album ‘Northern Gentleman.
