Once

As a prelude to a new album of songs due October 2021, Virna Lindt releases her second single on David Camp’s new TheCampus label. Once is an eight-minute track, the theme to an imaginary movie, written and produced by Virna with Tot Taylor, recorded at The Apartment Studios, Stockholm, mixed at RAK, London by Robbie Nelson. Once begins its sonic odyssey at 110 bpm before developing into a full-blown disco-symphony. With a cinematic sweep the song looks back to childhood and simpler, emptier days mixing super-8 film formats with travelogues of car journeys and the Swedish countryside. Lindt’s timeproof hit Underwater Boy has been sampled by numerous DJs and fashion catwalk shows and Lindt’s work is seen as an important source for playlisters and influencers.
