Open Air Festival 1982

In early 1982 Rory put out his seventh studio album, the critically well received Jinx, a largely self-composed affair, choc-full of great tunes and - of course - some superb playing by Gallagher plus long-term band members Gerry McAvoy on bass and Brendan O ‘Neill on drums. Bob Andrews from The Rumour played keyboards on the record. Gallagher and his band hit the road following the album’s release and in August of ’82 were in Germany where they performed at the Lorely Open Air Festival on Saturday 28th. A dynamic performance captured on this vinyl.
