For many, Nick Nicely has long existed in a category of his own. Moving freely amongst neo and classic psychedelia, experimental pop, lo-fi invention,chamber and sci-fi music, it's a space where epic refrains linger like half remembered dreams and familiar structures are nudged just far enough sideways to feel newly mysterious.

6th album, Or A Brockley Afternoon has a '60s influence with dream logic and otherworldly storytelling among contemporary DiY flavours. 'The Godfather of hypnagogic pop' reckoned Record Collector of the 2024 single, 'Mike Hall Is Calling'. "Nick is still producing exquisite, boundary pushing, psychedelic nuggets wrote Norman Records. This early taster release gave a first glimpse of the albums "Ghost Orchestra" direction. Then two scorching acid-rock singles ('Facing Awayy and 'Miniature Man' followed and showed no fear of reaching out for the extremes.
