Mungo’s Hi Fi have created something extra special for Record Store Day 2017. 70s roots reggae legend and forefather of dancehall singing, Johnny Clarke rides a completely original riddim featuring the ‘flying cymbals’ drum pattern that brought him to prominence. Recorded using all live instruments in Glasgow, Rain Keeps Falling recalls the days of Mungo’s inspiration King Tubby and a lyrical tribute to Glaswegian weather! The dub version brings the hissing hi-hat to the fore in classic Tubby’s style.
