Realms of Sin

Hailing from Chile, armed with blood-stained scythes and rust-eaten knives, Deathwards release their debut album Realms of Sin through Sepulchral Voice Records.

This is Death Metal in its earliest and most uncompromising form, born from the violent mutation Thrash and Speed Metal underwent, when the music still felt dangerous. Inspired by the late Eighties, Deathwards resurrect primal aggression, sinister atmosphere and relentless songwriting with razor-sharp riffs, venomous vocals and untamed solos.

Beneath it all, Realms of Sin dives into guilt, lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, heresy, fraud and eternal punishment, drawing on Dante’s Inferno, biblical imagery and medieval visions of damnation. Despite its old-school soul, the album benefits from a clear Equinox Studio production and hand-painted oil artwork by Jorge Olavarria.
