Rechordings 1978-1981

A 93 track five CD clam shell box set that rounds up pretty much everything ever recorded by Mod Revival legends The Chords. Disc 1 is the one and only studio LP So Far Away which hit No.30 in the UK National Charts back in 1980. The second disc features all the A and B sides issued by the band including the hits Now It’s Gone (No.63), Maybe Tomorrow (No.40), Something’s Missing (No.55), The British Way Of Life (No.54) and In My Street (No.50).

Disc 3 has both of the band’s sessions for Radio 1 legend John Peel as well as a rare set of tracks recorded for Kid Jensen. The disc also features an 11 track In Concert recording from the legendary London Rainbow in 1980. Disc 4 and 5 between them contain 40 mostly unreleased studio tracks – demos, alternative mixes, studio jams, etc… that are sure to get the collectors foaming at the mouth!

The stunning booklet includes in-depth liner and track notes by drummer Buddy Ascott who has overseen the whole project. Packed with memorabilia, clippings and pictures of all relevant sleeves.
