Rescue - their fifth album and first for Hopeless is ambitious, energized, and expansive in sound. With Rescue, Silverstein wanted a record that was going to tell twelve stories. Lead singer Shane Told says “I think that is exactly what the record did, it's very up and down, it's a very dynamic record which we set out to do so I think it takes a journey of its own and it's sort of the journey of our career in a way”.
Now a decade past it’s release, “Sacrifice”, ”The Artist (ft. Brendan Murphy), and “Texas Mickey” (ft. Anthony Raneri of Bayside) have become fan favourites. The album features some of their heaviest material. From start to finish, the album is consistent in energy and emotion, balancing post hardcore with emo and pop-punk resulting in an album that is refreshing and familiar.
