Room Service (25th Anniversary)

Roxette’s seventh studio album, Room Service, arrived in spring 2001 and now feels like the closing chapter of the duo’s original golden era, before Marie Fredriksson’s brain tumour diagnosis in 2002 brought things to an indefinite halt.

It’s a sleek, synth-driven pop record with Per Gessle’s gift for huge hooks all over The Centre Of The Heart and Real Sugar, while Milk And Toast And Honey remains one of those quietly enduring highlights, carried by Fredriksson’s unmistakably warm, emotional voice.

The 2LP marks the first ever vinyl pressing of Room Service: 24 tracks across the original album, outtakes and demos, in a gatefold sleeve with an 8-page insert featuring images by Jonas Åkerlund and exclusive photos from Per’s archive. The 2CD edition includes 26 tracks and a booklet with the same photo content.
