Sings Doom

'Sings Doom' is an anthology of George Melly single A and B sides, both solo and with The Mick Mulligan Band, recorded between 1955 and 1962. Our presentation includes the excessively rare Melly EP's, 'George Melly Sings Doom', 'Nothing Personal - George Melly Sings The Blues' and 'Abdul Abulbul Amir : George Melly Sings Songs Of Frank Crumit'. 'George Melly Sings Doom' may be seen as a soundtrack / companion piece to Melly's supremely entertaining first volume of autobiography, Owning-Up, a loving evocation of the hedonist jazz scene of 1950s Britain.
