His best work to date is presented to us as Ivan’s voice is centre stage, with layered
harmonies added to the soundscape of delay-soaked electric guitars, and essentials-
only drums and bass. Drawing from new life experiences, musical influences from
the likes of J.J. Cale, Nina Simone and Tim Buckley, along with the freedom to
create at his leisure; Ivan’s original and unique sound remains recognisably present,
creating a fusion of 1960s / 70s folk and blues. If you’re a fan of John Martyn’s drowsy
