Sparks

After the great success of the last album Mediterranean Tales, the Italian pianist and composer Pasquale Stafano presents the new trio project and album Sparks.

The trio is completed with Giorgio Vendola on double bass and Saverio Gerardi on drums, eclectic and emotionally tuned musicians who manage to create the perfect sound for Pasquale Stafano's music.

The pianist performs all over the world and in the latest years mostly in Asia in very important jazz festivals, theatres, and jazz clubs. He collaborates with great musicians such as Fabrizio Bosso, Gabriele Mirabassi, Javier Girotto, Michele Rabbia, Valtinho Anastacio, Yeahwon Shin, Adam Baldych and has recorded 7 albums as a leader and others as a sideman.

His song "Milonguita" was arranged and recorded by 12 Cellisten der Berliner Philarmoniker, all members of the famous German orchestra, on the album "Hora Cero" produced by Sony Classical.

He has held masterclasses and workshops in Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Switzerland and is Professor of Jazz Piano at the "S. Giacomantonio" Conservatory in Cosenza.
