Surreal

Released on vinyl for the first time and featuring João Caetano, Incognito includes a Japanese Obi-strip. Led by Bluey, Incognito was formed in 1979 and has since become a highly influential band, widely regarded as one of the key figures in the realms of acid jazz and jazz funk. Their impact remains strong and respected to this day.

Their two albums, which were released on P-Vine in the early 2010s, are available on vinyl for the first time! The album Surreal, released in 2012, introduced new guest members such as Mo Brandis and Natalie Williams, giving the band a fresh perspective compared to their previous works. João Caetano joined as the new percussionist, adding an even more perfect groove to Incognito's already highly accomplished sound.

This brought a significant change to Surreal, surpassing the usual additions of guest performers. Maysa Leak, the "Voice of Incognito," also contributes to two tracks on this album.
