Repressed for the first time in many years, SYR 5 (aka "Olive's Horn") features the urgent words "Donald Duck, kill Minnie!" against a backdrop of drum strikes and manipulated guitar/electronic textures.

This collaborative effort between Kim Gordon, Ikue Mori, and DJ Olive embodies their respective histories in the downtown noise scene, No Wave zone, and Marclay-inspired club.

The album begins with shimmering tones interrupted by winding clocks and bird calls, leading into sweeping percussion, alien samples, and blown-out wasteland subs.

The listener is guided through a waking dream state where dub samples, gurgling beats, and Gordon's plaintive vocals create a new reality.

SYR 5 on vinyl after 25 years showcases timeless sounds that collide to create the audio equivalent of a slow-playing J.G. Ballard novel.
