Imagine The White Stripes as evil, unable to write in 4/4, and actually brother and sister. That strange little universe is where Michigan Upper Peninsula siblings Gretchen McKenzie and Dawson McKenzie, aka Bimbo, make their wild, experimental art rock.

The Bimbonacci Sequence keeps production minimal, much like the band’s explosive live set. Living off-grid in the woods, Gretchen channels that raw isolation into songs that swing between eerie tension, elastic riffs, huge hooks, and rage-fuelled release.

Inspired by the intense joy of Metz, The Stooges, The Cramps, and Krill, Bimbo mix crude humour with sharp social critique. From Marquette’s small but energetic scene, they’re making weird, free music that weighs solitude against community, and anxiety against ease.
