Deluxe limited edition CD + DVD package collecting the complete official recordings of legendary southern soul songwriters, Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham; includes a separate DVD of the only ever artist-approved, full-length footage of Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham live in concert. This professionally filmed and recorded event captures the pair at their best, performing in London during their 2006 tour, in the magnificent 17th century setting of Sir Christopher Wren's 'St. James's Church,' Piccadilly. The whole concert includes previously unreleased performances of twenty-two songs.  This unique deluxe edition also contains the 'Moments From This Theatre' CD (originally released in 1999) recorded on tour with Nick Lowe during 1998, featuring the pair performing fourteen songs and this package constitutes the duo's complete official recordings.  During a visit to the UK and Ireland in November 1998 , Dan Penn (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Spooner Oldham (vocals, electric piano) captivated audiences with renditions of their considerable catalogue of self-penned soul classics. The masterfully understated collection features soulfully intimate renditions of many of their hits, including "I'm Your Puppet", "Sweet Inspiration", "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man", "I Met Her in Church" and "Lonely Women Make Good Lovers."
