The Brian Setzer Orchestra, sometimes known as BSO, is a swing and jump blues band formed in 1992 by Stray Cats frontman Brian Setzer. Their debut album was released in 1994, followed by Guitar Slinger in 1996. In 1998, they released their breakout album The Dirty Boogie, featuring the hit cover of Louis Prima's "Jump, Jive an' Wail" from Prima's 1957 album The Wildest!
The BSO's follow-up single, "Gettin' in the Mood," appeared on their album Vavoom! Now, you can get The Dirty Boogie from the Brian Setzer Orchestra on vinyl for the first time since 1998. This album is a mix of well-arranged originals and covers from the 1950s and 1960s, known for its swing and jump blues influences.
Featuring "Jump, Jive an' Wail" and a cover of the Stray Cats' "Rock This Town," The Dirty Boogie is a must-have for Brian Setzer fans!
