The Greatest 30 Years On Earth

In July 1996, on a tiny island near Kitee, Tuomas Holopainen and Emppu Vuorinen came up with an idea that would become Nightwish - a story now 30 years in the making, from a humble three-song acoustic demo to global symphonic metal domination.

To mark the band’s 30th anniversary, The Greatest 30 Years On Earth is available as a 4LP and Blu-ray box, and a 3CD and Blu-ray Earbook. It includes a detailed 2026 interview with Emppu and Tuomas, plus private photos and rare behind-the-scenes images from longtime friends and collaborators.

It also documents the band’s 2022-2023 tour with recordings from Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome and Kitee’s Rantakenttä, features a documentary by Ville Lipiäinen on Holopainen’s songwriting, and includes remixed and remastered songs from the 2021 Islanders Arms virtual live shows.
