Stepping away from the stage, composer Devonté Hynes of Blood Orange turns his attention back to the screen with The Invite (Original Soundtrack). Built almost entirely around cello, it is a playful yet dramatic score that explores the instrument’s full range with real imagination.

Hynes brings a modern classical touch that has already won plenty of praise from viewers of Olivia Wilde’s new film. Starring Wilde, Seth Rogen, Penelope Cruz and Ed Norton, the film has been a box office success and has been hailed as one of the funniest of the year.
