kim weston was one of motown's most underrated songbirds, despite turning out classics such as 'helpless', 'it should have been me' and northern favourite 'take me in your arms (rock me a little while)'. in fact she was one of those artists who despite recording enough material to flesh out several long players was never given an album release. kim is a singers, singer and was at home with big torch ballads and show tunes as she was with the floor fillers as this collection shows. this 48 track double cd set compiles the classic 45's next to a host of previously unreleased cuts, alternative takes and first run stereo mixes from the vaults.
