Title

the first ever motown cd compilation from legendary soul singer chuck jackson. his tenure with berry gordy's detroit labels brought little success despite quality releases such as 'are you lonely for me', 'girls, girls, girls' and '(you can't let the boy overpower) the man in you' for the group's main label motown. a switch to the companies vip label for a quartet of 45's which included, 'let somebody love me', 'pet names' and the canned 'who you gonna run to' did little to improve things and by 1972 when his contract expired he left the label. this compilation compiles his three albums (which are serious collector's items), non album 45's and a host of previously unreleased cuts from the vaults including his take on the kim weston classic, 'helpless'.
