The Precariat (Photobooth Series 011)

Tommy Lefroy bring the same sharp, candid songwriting that made Flight Risk such a standout to their debut album, The Precariat. It is intimate and expansive at once, balancing confession, commentary, irony and sincerity with a clear, human touch.

Taking its name from the economic term for a class shaped by instability, the record sits with precarity, grief, environmental uncertainty and political decay, while still reaching for community as a way through.

Recorded at Blue Canyon Studios in Los Angeles, The Precariat was produced by Wynter Bethel and Tessa Mouzourakis, with co-production from Stephen Sesso and executive production by Mike Crossey of The 1975, Wolf Alice and MUNA.

The title track draws in part on Springsteen's critical storytelling, facing global suffering and broken systems before opening into American Cities, written while the band were in London watching home destabilise from afar.
