The Reason Why

Jonathan Kaspar returns to Crosstown Rebels with a four-track set that shows real range while holding together as one sharp, cohesive release. It features his own vocals alongside a few long-time personal secret weapons, with each cut revealing a different side of his sound.

After a packed summer that included Fusion Festival, Fabric London, Else Berlin and Woodstock 69 Bloemendaal, Kaspar comes back to the label in fine form. It follows his 2025 remixes for Damian Lazarus and 2024’s We Come EP, with more remixes on the way for Âme and Acid Pauli.

Take Control is stripped back, tense and driven by dusty tech drums. The Reason Why pairs a deep groove with standout vocals from Bákayan. Play With Me is a subtle late-night grower, while I Love Your Voice closes things on a heartfelt, immersive mid-tempo note.
