The Recordings 1971-1981

Expanded reissue of the cult 1991 Skooshny compilation, now collecting all twenty-one of the LA power-pop trio's recordings from 1971 to 1981 -- including four tracks new to this edition. Formed in Los Angeles by Chicago transplants Mark Breyer and David Winogrond, later joined by guitarist Bruce Wagner, Skooshny self-released a handful of singles on their own Alien Records label that earned glowing reviews -- Bomp! compared Breyer's voice to a young Brian Wilson and the music to a folkier Big Star -- before becoming prized collector's items in Europe.
