Jaberdarwin's debut album is a collision of worlds that refuses to settle into a genre. Built from the weight and intensity of metal and doom, the space and texture of ambient, the pulse of dub, the improvisational language of jazz, and the fractured possibilities of electronics, the music exists somewhere beyond conventional classification.
Eraldo Bernocchi (guitar), Colin Edwin (bass), Tomas Jarmyr (drums) and Gareth Davis (bass clarinet) create a sound that is massive yet spacious, hypnotic yet unpredictable -- where crushing low frequencies meet delicate atmospheres, organic improvisation intersects with electronics, and rhythm can dissolve into pure texture.
Dark, immersive and deeply physical, Jaberdarwin is less a fusion of genres than an exploration of what remains when genre boundaries disappear.
An undefinable music for an undefined space.
