The Who By Numbers

Released in October 1975, The Who By Numbers is The Who's seventh studio album. Eschewing the grand rock-opera concepts of Tommy and Quadrophenia, it functions as Pete Townshend's deeply confessional, stripped-down singer-songwriter record.

The album deals heavily with mid-life crises, ageing, alcoholism and the pressures of fame.

3LP - This deluxe 3LP set features the original album newly remastered and expanded with Who Put The Boot In – a classic live performance recorded at Swansea's Vetch Field in 1976. Presented on heavyweight vinyl and includes a booklet featuring rare photographs and memorabilia from the era.

2CD - The Deluxe 2CD set pairs the original album newly remastered with a second disc of bonus material from the era, featuring a selection of demos, unreleased tracks, early mixes and live recordings. Presented in deluxe packaging and includes rare photographs and memorabilia from the period.

This extensive collection features the original album newly remastered, alongside 11 Pete Townshend demos – 10 newly mixed by Pete, including eight previously unreleased from The Who By Numbers era – plus rare studio sessions, out-takes and early mixes. It also features recordings from the Who Put The Boot In concert at Swansea's Vetch Field in 1976. The accompanying Blu-ray features Pete Townshend's Dolby Atmos mix, high-resolution audio versions of the album, and video footage of The Who live at Metropolitan Stadium, Pontiac, Michigan.
