Karman Line Collective is a musical collective run by artist Wolfgang Buttress alongside many collaborators including Kevin Bales and Tony Foster (Spiritualized, Julian Cope). Buttress and friends have spent the last three years creating a new soundscape for his latest art installation Bees: A Story of Survival, which is running as a multi-sensory experience at World Museum, Liverpool.

This immersive exhibition highlights the essential role these ingenious pollinators play within the planets ecosystems, whilst also focusing on the existential threat faced by both bees and humanity alike due to our mistreatment of the environments that surround us.

With this in mind, the album To Be takes the listener on a reflective journey, making connections to the changing seasons of life and our increasingly fragile relationship with nature. Across the albums eight tracks, the music flows with its own mysterious beauty offering a sense of empathy and connection where the sounds of bee and human are harmoniously integrated.

Released on national bee day.
