The Incomprehensible Static is the solo project (with some help from talented friends) of Pete Darrington (or rather his surf-obsessed alter ego 'Pete Static'). He is probably best known as the co-founder of Reckless Yes, bass player for ‘90s cult noise band Cable, and vocalist and guitarist in Godno!

For fans of Dick Dale, Man Or Astro-Man?, and Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet, the album picks up on the current resurgence of instrumental tracks, riding along on surf guitar and experimental details for an intriguing retro-futuristic sound.

Like many virtual bands, The Incomprehensible Static (or TIS for short) was born out of 2020 lockdown boredom combined with daydreaming about what other types of cool band Pete has always wanted to be in. A full campaign across online, radio, and with digital marketing around single and album is set to be delivered through Reckless Yes.
