But, as with Kamasi Washington’s Epic, twists to the retro flavours give this latest album featuring L.A.’s West Coast Get Down contemporary relevance.

Mosley’s vocals match his soul-searching lyrics and the panoramic brass, bittersweet strings and rocking rhythms are delivered with a bounce and verve that augurs well for Mosley’s UK debut at Love Supreme Festival.
