live at the turntable club recorded in 1974, is a snap shot of the vibrant musical scene and some of the key players that gave birth to the roots reggae genre. the electrifying performances of dennis brown, delroy wilson and big youth (as well as the man known locally as jah bottle head) are legendary and highly collectable. re-mastered for the first time on cd, three of reggae's most accomplished recording engineers, king tubby, errol thompson and dennis thompson, with three vocal legends (backed by soul syndicate band) at the peak of their musical careers. presented and produced by niney the observer, the original album was mixed by king tubby at his famous studio on dromilly avenue and mastered in london at the beatles' apple studio on saville row. in tribute to the classic set, the cd packaging replicates the original gatefold vinyl sleeve and is complimented with an extensive booklet including an interview with turntable club owner winston 'merritone' bllake. this limited edition pressing is a must have for all vintage reggae fans! a vinyl lp re-issue will follow in 2012.
