Sleepers Records is proud to present the first-ever CD edition of Vision's Fugitives, the 1977 album by Sensations' Fix, newly remastered, expanded with five previously unreleased recordings, and manufactured in Tokyo, Japan. Originally released in the United States on the independent All Ears label, Vision's Fugitives appeared outside the band's main label relationship with Polydor, reflecting a more independent chapter in the group's history. Difficult to find for many years, it has remained one of the lesser-known releases in the Sensations' Fix catalogue.
Led by guitarist, composer and producer Franco Falsini, Sensations' Fix developed through an exploratory and self-directed approach to recording. Falsini began experimenting with electronic music and multitrack recording after moving from Florence to the United States in the late 1960s, where he worked with early Moog synthesizers and four-track tape machines. After returning to Italy, Sensations' Fix took shape with Richard Ursillo (bass, keyboards) and Keith Edwards (drums, percussion). The group signed with Polydor in 1974 and went on to release a series of albums that established their distinctive sound. Although rooted in Italy's progressive music scene, Sensations' Fix followed their own path. Their largely instrumental music combined electric guitar, analogue synthesizers, repetitive rhythms and spacious production, drawing comparisons with groups such as Neu!, Can and Amon Düül II while maintaining a character of its own.
This expanded edition has been newly remastered and includes five previously unreleased recordings, presenting previously unheard material alongside the original album for the first time. The original front cover, designed by Paul Whitehead, features a painting created in 1914 by Armenian-American artist Loutfi Jacobian, which was rediscovered decades later in an antique shop has been faithfully reproduced and is complemented by a newly designed Japanese-style obi strip created exclusively for this edition. The package also includes additional photographs of the band not featured in the original release, offering additional visual documentation of Sensations' Fix during this period.
