The appetite for The Zombies material has increased over the last ten years, and has continued to grow since their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. Indeed, they have now become the subject of a soon to be released major documentary covering their ongoing career. Disbanding before their seminal Odessey and Oracle album was released, Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone have revived the band with a new touring line-up and album, while original bass player Chris White has continued his career as a songwriter and producer.
Volume Six of The Chris White Experience features 12 exceptional recordings from his production career incorporating previously unreleased recordings from The Zombies, Argent, Marti Caine, and Water alongside long- lost singles for Duffy Power and Francie Conway. Recorded and mixed in locations ranging from Prism Studios in Switzerland to London’s Roundhouse and Livingstone studios alongside distinguished engineers: Jerry Boys, Dave Bascombe, Phil Dunne, and Tony Visconti.
Amongst the songs on the album are three written by Chris White himself, including a new composition – The Circle Closes. The booklet contains artwork, performer line-ups, memories from each of the sessions from those involved, and an entertaining introduction written by Argent and The Kinks’ drummer, Bob Henrit.
Volume Six spans recordings from 1970 to the present day, and is the latest in a multi-CD collection. Volumes One to Five are also available now, and will be followed by further albums showcasing unreleased sessions and songs from the last 50 years.
