Death Valley Girls arrive at Welcome to Earth through real loss, after Bonnie Bloomgarden lost her Altadena home in California’s Eaton Fire and, soon after, her dog Tommy. What follows is a deeply personal record about survival, rebuilding, and the threads that connect people, animals, memory, and place.

Still rooted in the band’s psych-punk and space rock spirit, this one feels especially open-hearted. Songs like Plant Magic, Basic Witch with Seth Bogart, Message From the Venus Flower, and I Love You turn grief into connection, with girl-group harmonies, communal chants, and a children’s chorus adding warmth and lift.

The album was shaped by Bailey Chapman, Laena Myers, Alana Amram, Sarah Safaie, and Gregg Foreman, whose passing makes this his final recording with the band. It also features Laura "The Kid" Kelsey, Little Ghost, and Gretchen Parlato. Intimate, searching, and joyful, Welcome to Earth is Death Valley Girls at their most connected.
