'work and non work' collects the early singles and eps of broadcast who in their arrival sounded like stereolab meets portishead. but it goes back much further then said bands, capturing the early foundings of 60s electronic-tinged music (the united states of america, french film soundtracks, silver apples). each song colours such a grim sci-fi world, that is as sexy as it is scary. an odd release, but mainly for being so overlooked. on warp.
