Zarathustra

Zaranthustra is the progressive rock album by the Italian band Museo Rosenbach.

On its initial release it didn’t make the charts, but in the following years the album gained a big cult following worldwide. Fans of bands like Van Der Graaf Generator, Pink Floyd, Magma and Gentle Giant especially praise it. The album blends hard rock and symphonic rock with philosophical lyrics inspired by Nietzsche’s bibliography.

The band was formed in 1971 when two bands, La Quinta Strada and Il Sistema, decided to work together. Before this they mostly played songs by others like Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks, Steppenwolf and Otis Redding, but it was Pink Floyd and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso that inspired them to make the concept album Zaranthustra.
