Kreidler

Kreidler are a German group formed in Düsseldorf in 1994, working at the meeting point of electronic music and experiment without ever sounding academic. That Düsseldorf origin matters: their records favour movement, repetition and precision, but they use those qualities with a light touch rather than as doctrine.

Across releases including Weekend, Flood, Den and ABC, Kreidler have built a catalogue defined by rhythmic detail, atmosphere and patient development. The early material collected on Early Recordings 1994-95 shows those ideas taking shape from the start, while later records keep refining the balance between band interplay and electronic construction.
