Soul II Soul

Led by producer/vocalist/songwriter DJ Jazzie B, Soul II Soul was one of the most innovative dance/R&B outfits of the late '80s. They created a seductive, deep R&B sound that borrowed from Philly soul, disco, reggae, and '80s hip-hop. Their third single "Keep on Movin'" reached the U.K. Top Ten in March of 1989 and their debut album, Club Classics, Vol. One, became a hit shortly afterward.

After some lineup changes and solo projects by various members including *Nellee Hooper*, who went on to work with influential acts like Massive Attack and Madonna, Soul II Soul reunited in 2007 with DJ Jazzie B and *Caron Wheeler*. Although Wheeler took a departure from the group for a while after their reunion tour in 2010, she eventually rejoined them in 2013.

In December 2016, Soul II Soul released their second live album "Origins", featuring *Jazzie B* and *Caron Wheeler* as the lineup. With their unique blend of genres and smooth R&B sound, they continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
