Clock DVA emerged from Sheffield in 1978, founded by Adi Newton after leaving The Future. Early work such as White Souls in Black Suits grew from experimental interests in science fiction and the occult; later records including Thirst pushed them further into industrial and electronic territory, with psychoacoustics and visual work becoming central to the group.
