Rizosfera

Independent label and non-profit association based in Reggio Emilia, Italy — operating between Europe, the UK and the Americas through Rizosfera Europa, ARMComm Europe (founded with Adi Newton) and Rizosfera America. At its core lies a long collaboration with Clock DVA, born in Sheffield 1978 from the same fertile ground as Cabaret Voltaire and The Future — the third vertex, with Throbbing Gristle’s London, of the original UK industrial triangle.

While Mute’s Grey Area does the invaluable work of preserving that lineage on record, Rizosfera works the other side of the archive: the unreleased, the dispersed, the still-in-motion. Not nostalgia — a living archive: new Clock DVA works, curated editions of lost material, companion publishing — the EXT series, recorded at Stockholm’s legendary EMS studios; Second Sight, the “lost album” of the band’s 2010s; the hardcover monograph Adi Newton: Second Sight by Paolo Bertoni.
